The Annual Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival kicks off June 20 through 22 at the Chelan County Expo in Cashmere, Washington.
On tap as this year’s headliner are Grammy-nominated artists The Boxcars. The band, featureing Adam Steffey, Ron Stewart, John Bowman, Keith Garrett and Harold Nixon, have been named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Instrumental Group of the Year three years in a row.
Also on hand will be Dealla Mae, .the IBMA’s Emergening Artist of the Year in 2013.
Ned Crisp and Bottomlline, Prairie Flyer, Green Mountain Bluegrass Band, Top String will also perform, with more music expected to be added.
The event will also feature adult instrument workshops, kids instrument workshops, old time “Fiddle Time Afternoon”, a slow jam, band scramble, lua potluck meet-and-greet as well as food and merchandise vendors on site.
Camping is also available.
Advance ticket sales are not available.
Walk-in prices are $25 per person, per day on Friday and Saturday, $10 on Sunday. Weekend passes are $30 at the door. Children 12-and-younger are free.
Camping is $20 per night per campsite.
