The long-awaited release of The Chasers debut album “Knife” has finally arrived

The ChasersThe long-awaited release of Seattle rock band The Chasers debut album “Knife” has finally arrived. The Chasers are led by Ryan Leyva (known by American Idol and others fans as Johnny Nails) on guitar and vocals, Steven Barci on drums, and William Moore on bass and vocals.

A heavy hitting three-piece, The Chasers band members collectively have toured the world and carry with them past music experiences and ties to American Idol, Michael Shrieve (Santana; Tangletown), Dave Grohl (Nirvana; Foo Fighters), Dave Hernandez (The Shins), Lars Finberg (Thee Oh Sees; The Intelligence), Ben Shepherd (Soundgarden), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Peter Frampton, Davy Knowles and the Backdoor Slam, Kurt Bloch (The Fastbacks), Mark Pickerel (Screaming Trees), and local bands The Cops, Star Anna, and many more.

The Chasers’ loud, energetic and pop sensible songs have big, memorable hooks most recently broadcast live on the new CW11 show “Band in Seattle.” Aside from deeming The Chasers “the new state band,” Duff McKagan (Guns n Roses, Velvet Revolver, Loaded) has gone on to call the band, “KILLER! They are an original… really” in Seattle Weekly.

The June 14, 2014 record release event at Seattle’s Rendezvous venue marks the final date of a west coast tour and will feature performances from Seattle greats Mark Pickerel, Kurt Bloch and others.
