As most of you know, the area around Oso in eastern Snohomish county was hit with what will likely be the worst landslide disaster of modern times in U.S. history, at least in terms of casualties. One thing we have always done in the northwest is that when people are in trouble or need our assistance, we roll up our sleeves and we do what we can. No where is that more true than the community hit hardest by this horrific event. Everyone knows everyone out there and that makes it all the more harder to deal with. Benefit shows to raise money for the all those affected are now starting to be organized.
We’re compiling a list of benefit shows that are going on in the northwest.
If you’ve heard of a benefit that includes music, email the editor at [email protected]
In response to the tragic events in Oso/Darrington, the Wild Buffalo and What’s Up! Donations at the door. Please bring cash…that is what they need most right now and they are not set up to take “stuff”. I will be accepting donation items for the silent auction. If you wish to be considered for the line-up or volunteer in any capacity, please comment below with who, what, how you want to help and Craig Jewell or I will let you know. We’re doing our part to help the families affected by the tragic landslide in Oso, with a benefit for the Red Cross (with funds being dedicated to Oso).
We’ve teamed up with Scott McKinley (CaviGold Records, Robert Lang Studios) to bring a kick ass line-up of rock & roll bands, who are volunteering their time for the cause. Lake View Drive will open the show at 8pm, Under Sin will be in the middle slot, The Saints of Damnation will close out the show
It’s an early show (8pm… doors at 6:30pm), so you’ll be able to go out, see some great bands, donate to a great cause, and still get home to get some sleep!
Must be 21+ with Valid ID
$5 Donation at the door (or more, if you can afford it) We’re working on some cool raffle items too!
All door & raffle proceeds will go to the Red Cross, and, OEJ’s will match the door donations up to $300.
We’re also working with a couple of our vendors to try & get them to partially match donations. Let’s do a good thing for people here in Snohomish County, who really could use our help right now! Click here for more info:
