KEXP will celebrate the 2013 winner of their Hood-to-Hood Challenge with a all-day celebration May 30, 2014 in Ballard.
The Challenge is a annual fundraiser where Seattle neighborhoods compete to show the most support for listener-powered radio. The victory is Ballard’s fifth win in nine years.
This year’s festivities include a live broadcast from Hilliard’s Beer Taproom featuring sets byIska Dhaaf, the Faint, and Katie Kate. These performances are free and open to the public.
Around the corner, the Sunset Tavern hosts the first-ever KEXP Record Fair from 11am to 6pm, featuring the best in NW labels and Ballard record stores, plus DJ sets by local luminaries.
