Disturbed‘s video for “The Light,” the current single from their #1 album Immortalized, has premiered today via iHeart Radio. “The Light” has now become a Top 5 hit at Rock Radio, already following in the footsteps of #1 hit single “The Vengeful One,” both taken from Immortalized. The video, directed by Cully Bunker and Craig Bernard, with production by Evan Urman and Jason Valen, is premiering across iHeart Radio’s network of Active and Mainstream Rock stations both online and on-air. You can watch the new music video below.
Immortalized marked the end of a 4-year hiatus for the Grammy-nominated hard rock titans and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the band’s fifth consecutive #1 album – a rare distinction only achieved by one other hard rock band in the history of the chart: Metallica – and putting them in the company of a select group of global superstars to have earned five chart-topping debuts, including Madonna, Beyoncé, Eminem, Dave Matthews Band and U2.
Disturbed will hit the road early next year for a North American headline tour that kicks off February 25, 2016 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The 4-week run will offer a rare chance to see their arena-ready show in an up close and personal setting, with three Pacific Northwest stops at Seattle’s Showbox, Roseland Theater in Portland, and Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom. The tour is almost completely sold out, with the few remaining tickets available here.
The band recently announced international touring plans for 2016, starting in January headlining Australia’s biggest rock event of the year at The Soundwave Festival, as well as a headline show in Auckland, New Zealand. Summer touring plans already include confirmed slots at some of Europe’s biggest rock festivals, including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany, the U.K.’s Download Festival, Hellfest in France, Forta Rock in The Netherlands, Nova Rock in Austria, and Belgium’s Graspop, with more worldwide tour dates to be announced soon. Formed in Chicago in 1996, the multi-platinum Disturbed – David Draiman [vocals], Dan Donegan [guitar], Mike Wengren [drums], and John Moyer [bass] – have sold over 15 million albums globally and scored ten No. 1 singles at Active Rock Radio. Their quadruple-platinum 2000 debut The Sickness formally announced their arrival as hard rock leaders, with that status solidified by their subsequent Grammy Award nomination as well as gold-, platinum- and double platinum-certified records.
