Ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, to 75 Bands in 75 Days, where we’re showcasing some of the best talent that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, at least one band per day, leading up to December 31st, to ring in a new year. The seventh band up is another band we’ve seen numerous times and never walked away disappointed.
One of the best musicians to ever come out of the northwest is Jefferson Angell of The Missionary Position. I’ve seen him play live in 3 different bands and seen him play solo and he puts on a great every time. But as good as Jeff is, Benjamin Anderson and Michael Alex really round out this band and they have a unique energy together when they are in the pocket, which is most of the time.
All 3 of the band members have side projects. In fact, it’s kind of weird calling Walking Papers a side project (Jeff and Ben’s side project) with all they have accomplished in the short time that WP been together. Missionary Position will be playing on Halloween at Hwy 99 Blues Club and that one promises to be fantastic.
