Ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, to 75 Bands in 75 Days, where we’re showcasing some of the best talent that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, at least one band per day, leading up to December 31st, to ring in a new year. This list is in no particular order and it is not a chart or a countdown. It’s merely a list of bands or musicians that we feel are worthy of checking out. Day 39 offers us Full Moon Radio, a fun sounding band from Olympia.
Full Moon Radio is an all female ROCK band from Olympia, WA, The music is a throwback to the early to mid 90’s but fits well in today’s musical landscape and has plenty of rock sensibilities thrown in. The in-your-face vocal style and hard driving punk beat will get you moving and probably remind you of Hole. While they’re not exactly breaking new ground here and inventing a new genre, the style of music they’ve elected to play is done well and they are a tight band. Haven’t seen them live but they’re probably a fun outfit on stage and I can see the crowd flailing around as the band rips through it’s infectious and energetic beats.
