Ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, to 75 Bands in 75 Days, where we’re showcasing some of the best talent that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, at least one band per day, leading up to December 31st, to ring in a new year. This list is in no particular order and it is not a chart or a countdown. It’s merely a list of bands or musicians that you might not have heard of that we feel are worthy of checking out. The 26th band is The Hollers from Seattle.
The band proclaims that in a music industry filled with auto-tune, synths, and dubstep, they have set out to pave their own path while staying true to their roots. Comprised of four seasoned musicians, The Hollers wear their influences on their sleeve while putting a large focus on songwriting and creating timeless pop songs. Lead vocalist / guitarist Trevor Boone pulls influences from Tom Petty, Wilco, and The Strokes and guitarist Frank Gross, drummer Andrew Ching, and bassist Jordan Fuller aim to give the songs a modern twist with energy and passion. They have a great sound and with a plethora of local shows including a headlining sold out show at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern and a self titled EP under their belt this young Seattle outfit is set out to make their mark on the Seattle music scene.
We look forward to hearing more out of them.
