Ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, to 75 Bands in 75 Days, where we’re showcasing some of the best talent that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, at least one band per day, leading up to December 31st, to ring in a new year. This list is in no particular order and it is not a chart or a countdown. It’s merely a list of bands or musicians that you might not have heard of that we feel are worthy of checking out. The 15th band up is a brother/sister with a fantastic sound, they are called The Native Sibling.
It’s a cliché that often you must travel the furthest distance only to discover what was right under your nose all along. Yet this was precisely the experience of Ryan and Kaylee Williams, who together form the Seattle-based, brother-sister duo, The Native Sibling.
On the album ‘Letters Kept To Ourselves’ they triumphantly blend a mixture of acoustic guitars and deep, rich harmonies combined with some great song writing. The voices of these two are a perfect match for each other and it could be the result of genetics or the love and dedication to the same types of music. Either way, it is a potent blend and if you the love singer/songwriter style as we do, you should love them.
