50 Bands in 50 Days – Day 46: Lust for Glory

50-50-FEATURED

Welcome one and all to the first of the last five days of 50 Bands in 50 Days, our sign-off to 2015 with a daily countdown of some of the best bands coming out of the Pacific Northwest, one day and one band a time. This daily feature is brought to you by GigTown. Today we’re shining our spotlight down on one of Spokane’s finest, Lust for Glory.

lust for glory

Three-piece rock band Lust for Glory is one of the most dynamic trios to come out of Washington in a long time. A band with an ever-changing lineup, Lust for Glory has captured the attention and the hearts of the Western Washington music scene, a scene that was won over by the band’s skilled and loose mix of alternative, indie, and garage rock.

The band’s current lineup consists of Sean Genereaux on guitar and vocals, Scott Carr on drums, and Kat Anderson on bass. Together the group plays dingy, distorted rock music that’s just as suited for a sweaty rock club as it is heavy commercial rock radio rotation and arena-sized live shows.

Released this Christmas was the new Lust for Glory album, Those Times Are Now. Lust for Glory’s third full length album is here for the holidays. An album that’s raw and rough, handcrafted and home-made, Those Times Are Now is an album perfect for those who just want to rock. You can purchase Those Times Are Now here.

If you’re into contemporary alt-rock and aren’t turned off by a lo-fi aesthetic, you really can’t go wrong with Lust for Glory.

For Fans of: Royal Blood, Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age

You can follow the band on Facebook, YouTube, ReverbNation, etc., and stream Those Times Are Now below.
