Welcome to the 24th day of 50 Bands in 50 Days, where we’re turning you onto some of the best and most deserving bands in the Pacific Northwest, presented by GigTown. Today we’re putting the spotlight on one of the best rock bands coming out of Olympia, Fruit Juice!
From the grungy wonderland of Olympia, Fruit Juice has been coloring the Pacific Northwest with their eccentric psychedelic pop for two and a half years now.
Their first release, a five-song EP titled Terra-Fi, released on Swoon Records, showed us nostalgic elements of 60’s pop, and 70’s glam, while carrying us into a distinct, modern atmosphere of infectious energy, sparkling oddities, and 13 shades of eye shadow.
You can expect that and much more on Fruit Juice’s full-length debut album, Eat You Up, released in September of 2015. Recorded at Swoon Records with engineer Jeff Southard, and Bear Creek Studio with engineer Jerry Streeter, pristine fidelity and production are in the cards without missing any of their wild character. The album is in our 2015 READER’S POLL – vote HERE if you like.
Fruit Juice is Jake McCaffray on vocals and guitar, Quillian Finnesy on backing vocals and keyboard, Gabriel Stranahan on Bass, and Jonathan Thompson on Drums.
